Why should I integrate Mailchimp with other platforms?
I know we covered this briefly in the previous blog, but if you are like me, then you will most definitely already be using a high number of marketing platforms for your business. There will be your website, your social media accounts, your event planning tools such as Calendly or Eventbrite, your video conferencing tools etc ect.
Managing all of these platforms can be tricky and it can take up a lot of administration time if you are not careful. Integrations help you automate routine tasks between your platforms and it means you are able to focus on the parts of your business which need your genius. They connect your Mailchimp account with your other platforms and then share information and data between them.
Where do I go to integrate my platforms
Luckily MailChimp makes this really simple for us. All you need to do is follow the below easy steps…
- Click on Integrations in the left-hand side menu
- Click on Manage
- That is it! I told you it was easy right? Now you will be taken to a page where you can view all of the integrations that MailChimp has to offer. The search bar lets you search for particular platforms, or you can use the ready-made categories available to show you all of the options that are available. It is amazing how many there are, no other email marketing platform comes close to MailChimp with integrations.
If you are going to try out any integration, then please ensure it is to either your WooCommerce or Shopify eCommerce accounts. It is the best way to really connect personally with your shoppers and make sure they keep coming back to you. If someone has purchased with you before, then there is a high chance they will come back if you get your email marketing right (as long as they liked your product/service anyway…). If you don’t keep email marketing to them, then the chances are they will forget about you. Remember, the worst that can happen is that they will unsubscribe.
WooCommerce Integration with Mailchimp.
WooCommerce is one of the most widely used e-commerce platforms. During the checkout process, WooCommerce will ask your customers if they’d be interested in receiving promotional emails from your brand. Once they accept, your online customers will automatically be added and subscribed to your MailChimp email contacts list.
But more importantly, it can also send e-commerce data directly to your MailChimp account, giving you valuable insight into your customers’ purchase behaviour, geographic location, and other valuable information. It also picks up on sales that were directly generated by your email campaigns, helping you accurately measure your ROI on each promotion.
All of this means that you can send campaigns and automation which really target specific shoppers. You can really get clever and very specific with who you want to target. Here are some ideas for you:
- Send an automation email to previous customers with a discount if they haven’t ordered with you for a while
- Send emails offering high-end items to customers who have placed large orders with you in the past.
- Send emails to customers with related items to their previous purchases.
